Sears auto center sales & tech crack heads

In July I bought four tires from a sears auto center in Milford CT. Came back with a flat in October that couldn’t be fixed and should have been replaced (road hazard warranty) thank God, or so I thought. Instead of replacing the tire, the tech specialist said, it’s the rim it’s the rim said the tech not the tires. You go buy a rim we put the fixed tire back on said the front desk sales guru. Are you sure I replied? Yes Yes they said. I went back to Sears on Monday after getting a second opinion from a real auto tech specialist. I spoke with a different sales rep and after explaining the situation he got the job done. On my way out I saw the sales guru from my first visit and I thought to myself, it’s the tire it’s the tire you humanly challenged Sears employee. Do you remember me I asked, no sir said the fool. So I decided to leave it at that. Sear should send some under cover quality control personnel to watch and interact with some of their employee ruined their reputation and credibility.

I wonder how the guy got his car to another tech? Did the other tech inspect the rim? How old was the car? This is unfair. Sears auto techs are not on commission and the CSA’s don’t make anything on a roadhazard warranty. They would have been better off selling you a new tire you jerk!

i don’t know where mike got his info but i am a sears auto center tech our pay and csa’s pay are all bassed on commission and if we dont meet a certain total we are threatend to be fired

  3. ted Says:

james is wrong Techs don’t get a commission CSA’s do and Sears does not threaten you with being fired as in all sales you have set goals you need to meet them if you don’t or can’t maybe you should find something else to do for a living
