Nancy DisGrace
|
I recently wrote the following to Nancy Grace reference a recent episode of her horrible show on CNN:
I write to comment on the recent Nancy Grace Show (I believe it was May 29) about the young woman found strangled in her dorm. Nancy began the most vulgar description of the amount of time it takes to strangle someone to death, including how the victim’s eyes, and I quote, “…bulged out…”; Miss Grace even went so far as to clamp her hand around her wrist, describing how the build-up of blood is so full of pressure and painful.
Honestly, just how vulgar and lurid is she going to GET? Does she imagine that no family or loved one of the poor victim is going to hear of the program or see that?? How would she have felt when her fiance was killed, if she had been subjected to such a disgusting account of the murder?? The insensitivity is overwhelming.
I don’t pretend to think that Miss Grace is the only one doing this type of “journalism” (and I know I trash the entire discipline when I count her among the news professionals-she is decidedly NOT), but she is arguably the worst. This is, like most media today, simply making news into entertainment —please, seeing as how you are the worst, Miss Grace, perhaps you could be the first, as well–to come out publicly against the kind of tabloid junk marketed as news today, and actually do some reporting–change your format–lead the way — redeem yourself.
We all have to admit, at the very least, that there is no “public good” in anything she said that night, or indeed in any of her shows. I tune in only as I am scanning the channels (searching in vain for some decent news programming on the NEWS channels, for crying out loud), and never once have I heard her disseminating any information or helping in any way on any of her programs. She may like to think she is doing some public service, but she is only lining her pockets. I work in law enforcement, and the talk around the cooler about her lurid programs would make her writhe in embarrassment. She is not respected. Hell, she even mispronounced Kimberly Dozier’s name—gosh, Nance, isn’t that a colleague in your “grand profession”??
Gosh, remember the days when news was REPORTED, not MADE??

Amen, Aimee!
I’ve never been a fan of the Nancy Grace show. I’m amazed at how she interrupts her guests while they are speaking, even when they are presenting information to support her case. Grace is clearly a control freak, and unfortunately, her last name has no influence on her demeanor (if that really is her last name.)

Nancy Grace is articulate, witty, intelligent, engaging (even to the people who supposedly
“hate” her) and of course beautiful. Unlike most beauties, she is not vein, she never
acts like she’s beautiful, she is interested in everyone and everything else. She is
interested in justice for freaks like Peterson and the like. AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL
THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE WHO PUT HER DOWN ARE JEALOUS AS ALL GET-OUT!!!!!!!

About the Elizabeth Smart episode, I understand all the rage, and I am sorry for that girl.
It though is only human nature after someone has been through such an ordeal to want to
learn what happened from the actual victim. This way we can prevent things in the future
from happening to others, to learn, to understand. Keeping quiet is the easy way out; &
I know too painful for some to talk about. However, it’s not unusual and noone should be
in an uproar because Nancy Grace wanted to know the truth from the actual source, the
person it happened to. Isn’t that on just about everyone’s mind? What it boils down to
is that Nancy says what everyone else is too afraid to say, and then they are angry that
she doesn’t walk on eggshells and kiss everyone’s behind. She’s smart as whip YOU ROCK
Nancy Grace! Keep on speaking for victim’s who can’t speak for themselves sometimes
because they aren’t even alive! It’s a dangerous world, we need people like Nancy who
genuinely care; and I think it’s her caring and concern that have people troubled, be-
cause in the cold world we live in lots of people don’t want to acknowledge real warmth
when they come across it. Nancy cares.

Nancy Grace cares about no on but her stupid ratings. Her and Glenn Beck should get married then both those gas bags can keep each other company. And after that poor lady killed herself the day after being grilled by Nancy, I hope you sleep well at night you stupid bag of pus.

Reference the comment from Ms. Starr:
There is NO probative value to any information Nancy Grace gets from her guests–
none, except to feed the vulgar fascination this society seems to have for the lurid
details of another person’s pain and trauma. Knowing the details of a murder victim’s last
moments DOES NOT edify, it is only a shameful bid to make news into entertainment. And that
causes the media to lose all credibility—because they need ratings, they are unlikely
to report only straight facts, they tend to BUILD a fantastic horror story rather than a
dry rescitation of facts, like media is supposed to do.
One last word, Ms Starr, please, I beg you, don’t ever vote in any election ever again.
You clearly are incapable of a thoughtful, informed decision. I can’t live knowing that
YOU have a say in my future and the future of my country.

Well, after your original post, Nancy did become a vital intricat to another person dying as a direct result of Nancy Grace opening her mouth. Hopefully soon, the courts will surpress her vioaltile mouth. mouth
