I think the patriots, or proud citizens of this country, have failed. They have failed so badly they should be ashamed. They have failed not only the land they stand on, but themselves, and our own people.
I am taking no political side, view, or standpoint. I am going to say what is
only the obvious truth, to me, no matter how glib sounding it may be.
We see our rights being ignored, the problem is, sometimes we support the
reason. We let our government take the money from our elderly, steal it even, oh, they’ll pay the Notch victems back-after they die, Social Security, ect. They go in our schools and recruit our children for war, using “Bait and Switch” cons on our kids. WE LET THEM!
Our government is using us. They paint us ugly pictures so we HELP them.
Example: Criminals, I hate to break the news to ya… But they are still our people, still amarican citizens, still human. IT’S NOT O.K. to use the government as a hitman and call it justice, Sorry it’s still murder nomatter who or how it’s justified and just think, better yet, look up how many have been found not guilty after being found without a dout guilty of a crime they didn’t do, IT’S NOT O.K. to sentence someone who stole your transportation or purse to be raped or murdered in prison, IT’S NOT O.K. to strip the Right of Privacy away of someone who has been convicted of a crime alcohal, sexual, or any other-even if you support it. Thousands of good, honest, and rightfully proud citizens died for them rights, IT’S NOT O.K. to start a war based on a ugly painted picture that again was false, IT’S NOT O.K. to let the artist that killed a undeserving thousands of human beings that were less
guilty than you or I, go free ESPECIALLY allowing him to portray our country and risk our countries security be threatened because of his wrong doings, bad judgements, and carelessness for human lives including some of our bravest sons and daughters, and IT’S NOT O.K. for the rich to get richer by way taking advantage of the poor or middle. The poor work up to 12 hrs a day and up to 7 days a week usually to just hit a higher tax bracket for little to no health benefits or retirement so that they still can’t pay normal bills for lack of money not budgeting… you can’t get $1.50 from $1.00 and that extra .50 cents owed out- adds up! IT’S NOT O.K…..AND SO ON AND ON AND ON.
There was some words said once that made Amarica think when it was said, it went something like, “It’s not what your country can do for you, it’s what you can do for your country”. Yes! But, our country is the amarican citizens, not our employee the government we elected/hired, it’s us and our neighbors. You can try to politically label or stigmatize me if you wish but that would only satisfy the point I’m trying to make.
I am sorry for any grammar, spelling, or puncuation mistakes it’s 4:30 in the morning. Thank You For Your Time.

I agree with a great deal you rant about, except that as you spell the greatest of words correctly, you left America, American clearly alone. We live in a country that allows us tremendous freedoms, we punish our criminals, we fight to keep what we have come to enjoy. We work to earn more, our situations are what we allow them to be. Criminals need punishment, criminals need a safer prison, better programs, our government needs to make better decisions. Tell me though, as poor as our government is in your eyes, where on earth could you live today and know so much about the government in your country of origin? We haver greater rights than you can see though angry eyes. I feel your frustration, but I can agree to disagree with allot of what you see and feel. We get what we ask for, we get what we vote for, we live and make our lives what they are. Only our children can be excused, as adults we make our lives based on what we want, rich or poor because we live in the land of opportunity, we live in America.

I agree, I have angry eyes, but I see through them clearly. I feel I may have made you feel insulted by saying Americans should feel guilty. As well you should though. I have no doubt you love our country. That, would make you and others like you be my target for discussion. Now my response to yours.
I too love my country, I too take great pride in its accomplishments, including our rights. I say again- honest and true Americans gave their lives for these rights we both speak of. My eyes though angry, are not naive. We don’t live in a magical society, impervious to unfortunate circumstance, injustice, corruption, greed, danger, inequality, or any kind of uncontrollable bad fate life DOES dish. “HOW DO YOU MAKE GOD LAUGH?”. Sorry you don’t always get to choose. If you-yourself have been truly blessed with that option…Don’t you think it would be wonderful if everyone was able to feel that same way?
I don’t want my rant to be misguided . (explaining) My rant is to say these choices, freedoms, and RIGHTS are being without a doubt-stripped and taken away with our permission, slowly, but they are! To continue to have the country you and I want-we can not let that happen. The 2000 election in Texas was not what we should’ve allowed, no matter who or what party you stand for, as one example. My angry eyes see
my nation divided by government passive misguided patriotic beliefs that have been branded into our way of thinking. Beliefs that if you stand up and object, your voice is minimized because you are considered unfaithful to your country and your people, and that, is unAmerican!
I truly appreciate your response and your opinion, I hope to hear more from you and other Americans. I’m glad you care!

I too apologize to you for the “angry eyes” statement. I too am angered by every valid point you bring up. And you make very valid points! We are manipulated by the party system. Vote for the donkey or vote for the elephant! There is no middle ground, though they would like us to believe there is. Thee game then becomes a challenge to keep it a 2 party system, while we believe we actually have a voice. There is so much we cannot control and so much we have to “put” up with because the option for a different challenge does not exist “yet”. Only our up and coming generations can make that difference, and as you point out very rightly so, we are losing the past. We are losing rights by our own hands. I am not happy with the donkeys right now, I don’t see one waring any shining armor to address those things that are important to our society, our culture. I am no happy with the elephants right now for the same reasons, more so the
manipulation, false truths, the words that go on for days and make no sense, the death of so many in Iraq, the failing education system in those states that stand behind them! I am angry too, and I have a sense of loss, I may not vote! My only right to make a difference! There is no difference promised, and if promised…may be another false truth. What makes a good lawyer? His/her ability to take the facts and twist them in their favor, to win. Lawyer’s are, its safe to say, educated lier’s. Name me a politician that has not been through law school?. Its scary, but I guess thats what living in America is all about. Thanks for letting me rant!

  4. NVT of OH Says:

Wow, I guess that is the biggest fear, our youth. They would be the most vulnerable to the manipulation and they probably are already the main target. They could be easily be turned insensitive to the importance of our rights, I mean it’s already working so well on the parents. We ALLOW them to take prayers out of our schools and continue the pledge to our government, we ALLOW them to put voting booths in our churches, we allow them to continue the cruel and unusual punishment of our prisoners, (just not foreign prisoners), we allow them to stigmatize Americans, we allow the invasion of privacy, we allow them to legally kidnap our children, we allow them to recruit our children in OUR schools, we allow them to steal from our elderly. We have allowed them to divide conquer and cage us. We have left our self vulnerable because we are NOT to show distrust. Our trust has left us vulnerable because we didn’t leave ourselves a way to take back control when it has become abused. The only protection we have/had, was our RIGHTS, and now obviously we are ALLOWING them to take them too.

Yea dinner it looks as though uv been putting ur nose in other people’s rants as well. why don’t u just mind ur own biz. read other’s rants and if u dont like it keep ur opinion 2 urself. if everone else wanted ur opinion i think they would give it to ya. u should change ur screen name to NoseyRanter. that would fit u PERFECT

  6. NVT of OH Says:

How would they give me my opinion? I was obviously mistaken. I assumed these rants were
for interactive discussions on chosen topics in order to not only voice your opinions but
listen to others. Oh well ya know what? It doesn’t matter to me. I enjoy our last
discussions-but it would seem I was alone in that feeling. I will move on now, goodbye.

  7. ReFUG Says:

i am not sure what `we’ NVT is referring to. if s/he is talking about a `simple’ average where all the rights and resources enjoyed by everyone w/i certain geographic borders are divided up and presumed to allocated equally, the point makes a certain sort of sense.

however, this is in my firm opinion, quite misleading. there not only is nothing like equal distribution or benefits connected with effort and merit.

while `invisible’ to those who `have’, the `have nots’ in this country, are both growing in number and do not have many enforceable `rights’ at all.

having a right on paper is one thing, benefiting from it in reality is a whole different story.

    peace

  8. NVT of OH Says:

My lord, how can you not understand what I am referring to. What is this you said, “A `simple’ average where all the rights and resources enjoyed by everyone w/i certain geographic borders are divided up and presumed to allocated equally, what is that? Why would you try to perplex it, and poorly even? Let me interpret, translate, decode, and decipher my inadequately written confounding proclamation and regulate so the well-heeled affluent minds can acquire and comprehend it:
First, none of this is about money or business it is about freedom for all,
Second, “freedom, meaning, liberty, independence and exposure to full equality,
Third, “for all, meaning, every human and individual-indiscriminately.
Then I am referring to us, again meaning, “Americans, are, am, was, and have been giving up our freedoms to them, meaning, “our government, willingly meaning, “unreservedly and without fear or favor. I continue with how we need to protect, defend, look after, guard, and support each other “Americans, and the minorities, meaning, “Less fortunate, underprivileged, and lower ranked.

I too am a man fortunate enough to have a degree. I am not in a pissing contest with anyone, but I find it utterly disgusting to term our freedom with business context via the justification that it is unfathomable otherwise. If that is the case for you then I proclaim you useless to me for any good, untainted, or progressive contributions. If I somehow misunderstood your reasoning, then please reiterate refraining such terms if for any reason needed, how about just simple civility and good manners.
