This is why we should not make a practice of trapping and keeping wild animals. THEY ARE WILD. They are unpredictable, and they generally get pissed off when they are forced in these "habitats" that are completely counter-intuitive to the way that they are programed to live and survive. We can say that it is for "research", or for "education", but the truth of the matter is that it is for the almighty buck. The middle class is gone. Global warming is a death sentence. The White House is full of criminals who a least should be thrown out of there and impeached and probably FAR worse justice should be applied to them. We need a statesman-like visionary to guide us through this and we need them as of September 2001 or before then and will we be able to survive an administration so vile as to wreck the environment, the military, our standing and reputation in the world and send 3,500 of our children to their graves, torture with impunity, rendition maybe innocents (more...)

I am writing to you about a disgusting book, 'The Pornographer of Vienna' by Lewis Crofts. Last weekend I was browsing in my local bookshop (Waterstones in Tunbridge Wells) and without warning in the fiction section came across said book, and was utterly shocked because it had a picture of a lady's private parts blatantly emblazoned on the spine. There was not even a sticker of warning or anything, and young children could easily have seen it. I do not think it is right that a book like that is freely displayed. You know, 98% of the lawyers out there... make the rest of us look really, really bad! Here's just one more example - a heart-wrenching one. A couple in Palo Alto, California - Isabel Aguirre and her husband Pedro Ramirez - a couple who had lived there for more than 20 years - having moved from their native Mexico in 1985, were deported following a Federal raid. How about if we take this White House, put them on trial for conspiracy, defrauding the public, torture, negligent homicide, graft, conspiracy to defraud the public and many other on going crimes against the Constitution, their OATH of Office and moral truthfulness. I've been a spotter of snakes for many years, and this year there is a plethora of healthy, well developed breading snakes at least 2 months earlier than one would have seen 5 years ago and this is the result of climate trend, not just local anomalies. Now you should realise that I'm just a humble engineer-turned-product-manager type, and I'm usually too busy wrestling with graph theory, sparse matrix computation or the state of my bowels to worry about matters of national and international significance. But the situation in Iran has had me terribly concerned and I've found myself in idle moments (well, the precious few I have), spinning a pencil around my fingers and wondering what we can do to maintain the nuclear non-proliferation treaty intact and, while still letting - indeed assisting if necessary - Iran to have peaceful access to nuclear power generation. ... In other news, objectionable depictions of Christ is considered free speech! Below is a copy of the email I sent to CNN about the 12 Danish cartoons that is pissing every radical Muslim off right now. ********** I am shocked that CNN would refuse to show the caricatures of the Islamic profit Mohammed out of respect for Muslims. Anytime a derogatory picture of Christ or Christianity is shown it is because of free speech. Why the dichotomy? I don't solict or google pornography. However I was very pleased with Googles stance on not releasing their search records on porno. It is a freedom Google was defending and I couldn't have been more proud of them. Unfortunately that admiration turned to anger just a few days later. Google does not feel they have their market share in China. In order to "get into the game" they made a deal with the Chinese government. That deal was censorship. Other search engines had already complied with the Chinese censorship. Google once again was the hold out ... until now. I guess (more...)
