The middle class is gone. Global warming is a death sentence. The White House is full of criminals who a least should be thrown out of there and impeached and probably FAR worse justice should be applied to them. We need a statesman-like visionary to guide us through this and we need them as of September 2001 or before then and will we be able to survive an administration so vile as to wreck the environment, the military, our standing and reputation in the world and send 3,500 of our children to their graves, torture with impunity, rendition maybe innocents (more...)

Teachers Make Up Fake Gunman Attack to Scare Elementary School Students - and It Works - WTF Were They Thinking??

I was absolutely *stunned* today to read this headline: "Teachers Stage Fake Gunman Attack on Sixth-Graders" It happened in Murfreesboro, Tennessee The gist of it, according to CNN, was this: Staff members of the school in Murfreesboro TN convinced nearly 70 children that there was a gunman on the loose, while they were out on a field trip. Not only did the teachers stage this mock attack, but they told the children that "it was not a drill," as, and I quote, "the children cried and hid under tables." Four U.S. Citizen Children Deported Because of Lawyer’s Misdeeds

You know, 98% of the lawyers out there... make the rest of us look really, really bad! Here's just one more example - a heart-wrenching one. A couple in Palo Alto, California - Isabel Aguirre and her husband Pedro Ramirez - a couple who had lived there for more than 20 years - having moved from their native Mexico in 1985, were deported following a Federal raid. Because of this, their four children, all U.S. citizens, were faced with being deported with their parents, or going into foster care. The kicker? How about if we take this White House, put them on trial for conspiracy, defrauding the public, torture, negligent homicide, graft, conspiracy to defraud the public and many other on going crimes against the Constitution, their OATH of Office and moral truthfulness. You know IGNORANCE of the law is not innocence of it. They are still CULPABLE for ALL their mayhem AND should be held accountable for destroying our way of life by creating an office that is criminal in its' operation and murderous in its' actions. As a field technician, I get to see examples of all types of people and their actions. Most of the time, I find people to be generally kindhearted, respectful, and friendly. However, there is the occasional asshole .... For example, I was at a name-brand card shop on Christmas Eve. A man came to the counter to complete his purchase while I was standing next to the clerk, working on a broken cash register. Unless you've been locked in a small dark room without electricity this weekend, you will almost certainly have heard news concerning our fearless and combative Vice President, one Richard Cheney - though he prefers to be known as a real Dick - and his 'accidental' shooting of a member of his hunting party. I originally drafted this rant a few years ago, but as we head into another presidential election round, it seems nothing has gotten any better: Listening today to the candidates for the upcoming presidential election, George W. Bush and John Kerry, each driveling their lackluster verbal pablum, it suddenly hit me as to just why our choices for President have been increasingly disheartening, disillusioning, and demoralizing. We’re raising a nation of intellectual pygmies. People no longer choose the best candidate - they choose the least bad candidate. Have you noticed lately the trend for advocacy groups to employ those for whom they advocate? Isn't that nice of them? For example, I hear on the radio all the time about "homeless advocates". What? You mean, they aren't homeless? You mean that they are advocates for the homeless? But that's not what they said. They said that they are "homeless advocates". This is a rant which has been a long time in coming. That's because I see it nearly every day. You see, I subscribe to the Operation Amber mailing list, and so I see each and every one of the Amber Alerts which go out. That's pretty amazing to think about, isn't it? That there are Amber Alerts every single day. And that's the issue. And that's what this rant is about. Perhaps even the average citizen could notice it, but being a former father's rights attorney, I particularly recognize it. Below is a copy of the email I sent to CNN about the 12 Danish cartoons that is pissing every radical Muslim off right now. ********** I am shocked that CNN would refuse to show the caricatures of the Islamic profit Mohammed out of respect for Muslims. Anytime a derogatory picture of Christ or Christianity is shown it is because of free speech. Why the dichotomy? What's wrong with youth today?? No matter where you stand on the issue of Iraq - and I'm not saying where I stand on it, as it's not germane to the issue at hand - you have to admit that there are a lot of people who are strongly opposed to our involvement with the war in Iraq. Suing the U.S. Government is “An Act of Faith in America”

Two Muslim brothers from Brooklyn, Yasser and Hany Ibrahim, who were detained immediately following 9/11, then deported to Egypt on immigration violations and never charged with anything related to terrorism, are back in the states this week, in 24-hour Federal Marshall custody. Why? Yasser and Hany Ibrahim are here to give evidence in their lawsuit against the U.S. government. According to the lawsuit, Hany and Yasser Ibrahim, along with several other detainees, were detained, abused, and denied due process solely on the basis of their religion and national origin, which ordinarily would violate the constitutional prohibition against, well, (more...)

"Government offices will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Schools will be closed in observance of Jackson-Lee Day." A few years ago, I was in Memphis on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. I looked at this as an opportunity to get a glimpse into one of the most important tragic events in our national history, and planned to go down to Beale Street for the evening celebration.
