Tis the Season To Get Ripped Off

I feel very, very, VERY sorry for individuals that receive emails like the one I will post at the end of my rant, that believe the email, fill in the gaps and make some internet criminal or terrorist organization rich off of there savings.....earnings. THIS CRAP MAKES ME MAD! THE EMAIL: Dear Visa Cardholder Continuous Monitoring is an integral part of Visa's multiple layers of security. In addition to other fraud monitoring tools, we can often spot fraud based upon transactions on the card that are outside of cardholders typical purchasing pattern. Chase Credit Card Predatory Lending

My son, an unemployed college student, was given his first credit card by JP Morgan Chase . Without any parental knowledge, Chase granted him an exorbitant line of credit (eventually up t0 $9600) and even allowed him to exceed that line of credit by $4,000. And all this without him needing to complete an application or even have a job! When my inexperienced and spend-happy college age son was, predicatably, unable to meet the minimum payment Chase promptly assessed a litany of fees and immediately raised the finance percentage from 6.9% to 29.99%. Have you ever gone into a convenience store, bought something for, say four dollars, hand the clerk a twenty and then proceeds to give you six dollars back? In singles? That happened to me, I started putting the money away all the time wondering...I ask "Didn't I give you a twenty?" "Oh, sorry ma'am" and looks into the cash drawer, astonished as if she cannot believe she made such a stupid mistake and hands me an additional ten dollar bill!!! I walk away muttering something like "You b****!" and the same time thinking "Clever, clevvvver!" Well that just happened again only (more...)
