Best Buy Boogers
|
Best Buy offered a promotion of a $100.00 gift card with a big purchase…the promotion had ended the day before but the salesman told me that it was cool and he would personally take care of it…so I filled out the forms and sent them in…today I received a little note saying…”Sooorrreee, no can do, you were a day late!”
So what to do…I am debating on whether to call customer or to go back to Best Buy (Greensboro NC and see what happens…either way I think will be a losing battle…I am calm…I am calm…pass the valium…I AM CALM!…(hope the little shits still works there).

I’ll bet your salesman will come up with amnesia next time, that is IF you SEE him.
I, too have made the mistake of listening to “those” Best Buy salesmen. Some of them flat out don’t know what they’re talking about much less knowing ANYTHING about electronics. It seems they’re trained to, ALWAYS give an answer to a question… say SOMETHING, say ANYTHING!!!
Have you noticed, Best Buy may at ONE time long ago been a “best buy” but a little unscientific research will show you that they NOW should be named WORST BUY”
CrawdaddySammy, I’d make a wager you could return your big purchase and find it elsewhere AND at a better price. That would give that little weasel AND the manager of the store something to chew on!

Sorry don’t mean to sound like a bitch for saying this but, if you were the one who asked about the promotion AFTER you KNEW it had ended, then shame on you for asking the salesperson a stupid question. Such is life. Day late dollar short, as the saying goes. However, if the salesperson OFFERED the promotion to you without you asking AFTER he KNEW it had ended, then shame on him and you have every right to complain.
A lot of times, customers get ticked off at stores for the problems the stores create. Totally understandable and I completely agree that we should get ticked. However, there are other times when a customer creates the problem by not paying attention and/or giving concern to a store’s policies and/or promotional terms. But it is interesting to note that in either case, it is still precieved as the store’s fault.
I know it would seem as if I work for Best Buy based on my comment but, the truth is, I don’t. I’m too smart to shop at that store.
